Introducing the Essentials Collection!
It's been sah difficult keeping our new collection under wraps over the last few months!
We've been hard at work behind the scenes testing samples, finding the perfect talent to show off the new gear, staging photo shoots with our fave pair - The Image Takers - and making sure everything was just PERFECT before we let you all get your hands on the clothes.
Seeing it all come together has been a chance to reflect on the essence of the pieces, so without further ado, here are some words from FJL Director and Designer, Cath Jones about the inspiration behind the collection...
"The Essentials Collection is designed for the modern, busy mama.
Whether it be baby number one - styled head to toe in those earthy hues - or baby number three, who, let's face it, is wearing his PJ suit to school pick up; it’s all about style and practicality.
The garments are easy to style, the colour palette earthy, and the fabrics oh-so soft.
We have explored the perfect textures in our design process - playing with waffles and rib knits - whilst working tiressly to improve our organic cotton to a new level of buttery softness!
I've been influenced by the bohemian feels of the 70s which you can see coming across in the tones and detailing. And all the pieces have been tried and tested on babies, so these not so basic essentials get the tick of approval from our tribe of trusted mamas!
I consider every element of the creative process an investment, that is carefully considered to ensure a high level of quality in our finished products - from our exclusive print design, to the double stitching of a seam.
We pride ourselves on investing just as much love and care into the making of our products as we do in crafting our unique designs. Our products are proudly made in ethical Fair Trade workshops, that support local artisans and communities around the world, and have the lowest possible impact on the environment."
